It covers the importance of timely and accurately filing information returns and the responsibility of backup withholding for invalid and/or missing taxpayer identification numbers (TIN). This session also explains penalties related to information returns and how to respond to IRS Notice CP2100 and/or CP2100A and Notice 972CG.
